Dean Chatham

Just 24 years-old from Buffalo, NY U.S.A., Dean Chatham (born Jamerdon Dean) has made tremendous waves on the national Hip-Hop scene and Canada. He has opened for Rae Sremmurd, Avant, Trinidad James, Illa J, DJ UNK, Ro James and many more top touring Hip-Hop/R&B acts. Chatham's music can be described as high energy, yet smooth hip-hop with roots in jazz, disco and Neo-soul. His music is often likened to that of J Dilla, Kendrick Lamar, Robert Glasper, Drake, Jay-Z and Chance the Rapper. His performances resemble the energy of Michael Jackson, but rooted in MC'ing/hip-hop based dance.

Dean graduated from Wake Forest University in 2017 with a B.S. degree in Communications and is currently living in Buffalo, NY. As of 2019, he has released 12 projects. Dean is currently revolutionizing mentorship and teaching by providing a hands-on music and video production workshop with kids from disadvantaged backgrounds in Buffalo, NY. President Obama has acknowledged Dean’s work with the youth as part of his MBK Alliance initiative.
